We saw a lot of medical staff today as pre-operative consultations were made with:
- Nurse
- Pharmacist
- Social Worker
- Transplant Coordinator
- Surgeon
- Admissions
Overall the team did a great job and we were able to remain in one room for a lot of it and the specialists went in and out.
Ann has to report for surgery at 6:00 am tomorrow (Wednesday). The surgery itself won’t happen for a few hours afterwards but we expect her to be out by noon.
After all the hospital stuff, we went for a meal with the donation recipient, Leslie, and her husband at a local dining ‘institution’. It was the kind of restaurant that families have been eating in for years with large portions of rich comfort food. A last ‘solid’ meal for Ann for a few days as she has to start liquids-only tonight.

Thanks for the updates, we’ll continue keeping you in our thoughts, can you feel us there in your head? It may be mental telepathy or just a sibling thing. Love you, Jan
