Preparation for the surgery went well with a super-sharp team of nurse, surgeon, and anesthesiologist visiting with us. We feel fortunate to have such fine people working with us. To be specific, these folks seem to read the latest chart notes and stay aware of what other team members have done or been told. Common sense – but it can be an uncommon virtue.
We treated the noisy people in the adjacent stall as ‘training aids’ to help us both adjust to the noise and activity of a hospital environment.
On ringing the nurse call system to request a warm blanket, it came quickly and Ann thought we should find out who makes the system to consider installing at home. I responded that I couldn’t tell the difference as I thought she pretty much got whatever she asks for. We both had a good chuckle.
By the way, I am reading the comments and well-wishes to Ann as time allows. So thanks to those of you who have done so.
I will post floral info once she gets assigned a regular patient room.

I always knew you were a saint! Just today, I sent you an email about the June trip and got this ‘out on medical leave’ notice. I was so worried and so hoping it was minor.
