Ann has been getting gradually a bit better each day with more mobility but still a lot of tenderness in certain movements. Sustained sleep is a not coming because she is too tender for many positions and gets uncomfortable. So we typically go for a walk about 2am. It worked out well this morning as we were able to observe the lunar eclipse.
All the doors in this hotel are very heavy so I continue to open the doors and carry any load for Ann. However, this morning she was able to do her laundry which was probably the first real house work she has been able to do. I could see that she was pleased to be able to resume taking care of herself. Ann is scheduled for a follow-up visit tomorrow with the doctor.
Yesterday Morning (Day 6) Ann had ceased using the pain killers but her systolic blood pressure was up to 161 so we called the transplant coordinator and got the go-ahead to resume her blood pressure medication. This morning it is down to 126 so that is moving the right way. Although she has some small, but painful coughing spells, her temperature has stayed in the 98-99 °F range.
On Sunday, we were visited by both Leslie, C A, and their husbands. We took some photos and said farewell to C A and Bob that day. Leslie left for her home yesterday after a follow-up with the Transplant clinic.

Annie – you continue to amaze me! But please DON”T overdue it. Brad keep her in line! Love to you both. Know that {home} is calling out to you – hope the news tomorrow lets that happen. Love, C.A.
Looking good, Annie! Brad, don’t expect this “love of laundry” to last very long!
I’m glad Ann is making small steps to get back to normal. Take care of yourself.
Ann, you look fabulous my friend. Your color and your smile absolutely make me happy to see.
Anxious to hear that you and Brad are on your way home. I know you are anxious to get here. Call when you can. You continue to be in my thoughts
every day.
Love you,
Di
